A cost-per-square-foot estimator
The tool that stops a remodeler driving to four appointments a week for people who were never going to spend that much. Pick the project on the left; a range builds itself on the right, with every assumption shown.
Example only. "Sawtooth Remodeling" is not a real company, and these are not real market rates — they are made-up numbers chosen to show how the math is structured. A real build uses your rates, your project types and your rules, and every one of them lives in a single block at the top of the file that you can edit yourself.
This is an estimate, not a quote. No one can price a remodel from a form — what is behind the wall decides it. The range is deliberately wide, and it narrows the moment somebody stands in the room. That honesty is the point: it filters out the people who were never going to spend this, and it starts a real conversation with the ones who were.
Why this one earns its keep
A number on the page beats a form that says “contact us”
A homeowner who has worked out what their kitchen costs has already started buying. They arrive at the phone call with a budget in their head instead of a question, and the conversation starts two steps further along.
The version that would go on a real site has the contractor's own rates, their own project list, and their own language for the things they will not do. It is one HTML file. It has no monthly fee behind it, it works with the network unplugged, and it keeps working whether or not anybody is still being paid.
